Sharing and protecting nature
We are located in the middle of nature and do our best to ensure the place we share with the local wildlife remains a peaceful haven. Deer, stags, does, hares, bats, birds, butterflies, martens, weasels, badgers, voles, shrews, toads, slow worms etc… A wide range of animals elect to pass through or stay for a little while on the property and we cohabit in harmony. Sometimes that means the deer have nibbled on the raspberry bushes, a spider has spun its web in a corner or that a bird has lost its way inside the house if the windows weren’t netted.
A place for biodiversity
We only mow when and where it is absolutely necessary to do so. Large spaces are left completely alone in order to offer a refuge for the local wildlife and encourage wild flowers. We mow these spaces at the end of the warm season, to prepare the grounds for winter.
We mow tracks in the tall grass to go from one place to another, like a wild labyrinth.
